Fabiano Paixao Bilia, known in the world of the arts as Cipo, was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Cipo first began practicing the art of Capoeira in 1992. He took his first steps into the world of Capoeira under the tutelage of Mestrando Peixe Cru. He has been playing Capoeira since then and has been teaching, in schools, Gyms, Community centres, and performing since 2000 always as a member of ABADÁ-Capoeira. He has been travelling many times during the years to participate of courses, batizados and lectures about Capoeira and others different subjects related to the art. He is a fully recognized as a teacher of this institution.
Cipo is currently a full time Capoeira Instructor registered at NSW Sport Federation; he is the first person in Australia to introduce Capoeira as part of school’s sport program, which has been very successful in schools such as: St Ives Public School, Roseville Public School, Cherrybrook Public School, St. Paul's Catholic College, Chatswood Public School, Dural Public School and others. Cipo also runs a program at Sunny Field Association where Capoeira is used as therapy, trough this Art of Music and Movement many different cases of mental disability became more independent.
A several numbers of Community and Youth Centres around Sydney have been having Cipo’s Capoeira Workshops and courses with great success. Cipo has been performing since the begin of his career, in Australia he has performed at Darling Harbour Health and Fitness Convention, Macquarie University, Darling Harbour Brazilian Festival, The Stheyne Hotel, many different festivals and events. He also runs his own Capoeira School in North Sydney.
